Sword-like evergreen leaves add loads of texture to the landscape along with great color as it foliage is accented with a bright band of gold down the center of each leaf. Thrives in average to dry, well drained soil. Intolerant of poor drainage or wet sites. Cut down old flower stalks and peel dead leaves from around the base in the very early spring.
