Cross-bred by the University of Minnesota, Frontenac has gained popularity among the Northeast due to its cold-hardy nature. Clusters of deep purple and round grapes flood the vines and are ready to harvest from early to mid-fall. Use the sweet tasting and juicy textured fruit in juices and wine for aromatic notes of peaches and apricots.

Growing & Maintenance Tips for Vitis Frontenac™

Thrives best in full-sun in average to moist soil conditions. Plant next to a fence or trellis to be trained as it grows. Does not require a second plant nearby to produce fruit as it us a self-polinating variety. Prune in spring.
