A classic heirloom, pale green scalloped squash, also known as patty pan, is prized for its beautiful pale-green, scalloped fruits and excellent flavor. Harvest young, about 3" in diameter for the best texture and enjoy grilled, sautéed with pasta, baked and stuffed, or added to ratatouille. It is easy to grow and is rarely bothered by insects. It has a creamy texture and is very flavorful.
Thrives in full sun to part sun, in fertile, slightly acid soil in a well-drained location in the garden. Plants grow 2 ft tall, and vines spread up to 10 ft.
