This foliage on this blue green ground cover will make you look twice because they resemble the needles on a blue spruce. While far more fleshy and certainly softer to the touch than blue spruce foliage, the spiky leaves are attractive and aggressive and quickly form a thick groundcover or lawn substitute for hot, sunny, well drained areas. Clusters of yellow star flowers appear in summer creating a sea of gold. This fast grower is so easy to grow and has many landscape uses and is a great choice for using in tubs and mixed containers.
