Large clusters of cobalt blue, hooded flowers with white throats bloom in early summer above deep purple stems and textured green foliage. Upright habit reaches about 2' tall and delivers exceptional flower power. A standout for sunny to partly shaded borders and naturalized gardens. Provides an important early-season nectar source, especially for bumblebees and other native pollinators. Adds bold blue color to dry sites.
Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Tolerates dry conditions once established. Cut back after flowering to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage healthy new growth.
