Dense, slow-growing, narrow upright, pyramidal evergreen with whorls of thick, dark green, glossy needles that almost appear to be plastic! Reddish-brown buds and branches. Selected by plantsman, Sydney Waxman from the University of Connecticut.

Likes enriched, well-drained soil. Best appearance when allowed to branch naturally but new growth candle can be trimmed to reduce growth. Prefers protection from the afternoon sun.
