Summerred is an early season producer of dark red, oval fruits with a sweet and tart flavors and a crisp texture. The apples from Summerred are good for both fresh eating and cooking and can be harvested in late August. Smaller size great for home orchards.
Pollination is required for fruit production! Plant in full sun with moderate, well-drained soil. Established plants can benefit from fertilization. Early training and annual pruning and shaping are required to insure healthy and productive trees.
