Lush blue-green foliage forms a bushy, rounded clump that adds color and texture to any sunny garden. In late May, 10" tall spikes of rich mahogany red flowers with yellow keels are borne above the foliage and put on a spectacular bicolor show. As the flowers age, they take on more of the yellow hue and light up the summer landscapes. Delphinium flowers are a favorite for many butterflies and hummingbirds while deer tend to avoid this easy-to-grow perennial.
Thrives in sunny locations in average to dry conditions. Little maintenance is needed to be a great addition to your landscape. Prune down to 3 inches of the soil level in late fall. Long-lived perennial once established.
