A superb deciduous ornamental shade tree commonly used in parks or along sidewalks due to its narrow habit. Red buds start popping during April and May. 3” long leaves are dark green with a grayish underside flood the tree during the summer, but turn shades of yellow, red, and orange once fall comes.
Feed yearly with an organic fertilizer. Little pruning needed to maintain outstanding form. Prune any broken or damaged branches in winter while dormant.
