Ecommerce Associate

Position Type: Full Time

Working Hours: Average 30-40 hours/week, with potential for 40+ hours/week during peak season

Responsible for maintenance and support of ecommerce/direct fulfillment efforts at Prides Corner Farms – this division has continuously grown year-over-year and we are looking to grow our Team. The Ecommerce Team is responsible for listing our quality plants for sale across multiple marketplaces and websites, and timely shipping of orders directly to the end consumer.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Flow of Direct Fulfilment Orders:


  1. Organizing customer orders so they are prepared to be uploaded to PCF’s inventory system (NAV)
  2. Prepare orders for shipping to the end consumer by printing packing slips/labels from our shipping software (ShipStation). Organize them in a way that is compatible for our Shipping Team. Provide tracking information to appropriate parties.
  3. Weekly manifest for orders going to states that have shipping requirements, including preparing the necessary certification paperwork required for those states.
  4. Process orders in PCF’s inventory system (NAV) that have shipped so the orders can be closed out and invoiced. Process credits that may need to be adjusted on invoices and submit to PCF Accounting Team.
  5. Field questions/concerns that arise from direct fulfillment orders and interact with the end consumer and PCF partners 

Carrier Point Person:


  1. Work with our shipping carriers (UPS/FedEx) to update them with daily shipping volume & trailer needs.
  2. Communicate shipping/tracking inquiries between our partners and the carriers for delivery questions and/or damaged goods.
  3. Assist with gathering the necessary details for shipping claims that arise from missing, late or damaged packages and provide to our Carrier Claim Specialist.

Site Maintenance & Inventory:


  1. Monitor our listings across multiple sites for accuracy. Make any necessary updates or enhancements as needed to titles, copy and plant details.
  2. Take photos or videos of plants for listings that need images. Keep images new and fresh on existing plant profiles.
  3. Upload daily inventory to multiple websites.

Skills and Requirements


  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office –Excel, Word & Outlook. Must become proficient with PCF NAV Dynamics software with 2 months of hire.
  • Experience with maintaining listings in online marketplaces is a plus
  • Ability to communicate and write concisely, creatively, and clearly with colleagues and customers about all things related to Prides Corner Farms.
  • Versatile in assisting with tasks that involve being outdoors throughout the year.
  • Physical capability to engage in tasks of a physical and repetitive nature, including standing and bending (50 to 100% of the time), and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license & be approved as a driver on the PCF vehicle insurance policy. Ability to read, write and speak in English is mandatory. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a benefit but not required. 
  • Possess the following skillsets: detail oriented, self-motivated, accuracy, professionalism, clear communication skills, ability to multi-task, well-organized, good planner, problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize, ability to work with others, ability to lead by example, and desire for constant improvement.
