Another spring is upon us, bringing excitement, cautious optimism, and a renewed sense of urgency for the challenges ahead. This marks my 45th spring here at Prides—where has the time gone? It has been a truly magical journey, filled with incredible highs and the occasional lows. But as the saying goes, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and I am proud to say that every challenge has only made Prides a better place.

Today, I couldn’t be prouder of what we have become. While we have grown into a large nursery with over 700 employees, at our core, we remain a family business—one that values people above all else. I still cherish my daily walks across our shipping pad, witnessing the incredible variety of plants heading to our customers. More importantly, I treasure the connections with our team members, who so often tell me they are giving their best—there’s nothing better to hear.

And, of course, I am grateful for our 1,500+ active customers, who have become not just partners but friends. The future is bright, and I can’t wait to see what it holds.
