We have always been a family owned and operated business. Prior to the war Walter J Stobbart began a landscape and lawn care business, which he along with his son Fredrick W Stobbart ran. In 1946 Fred opened a retail business called Stobbart's Nurseries, to compliment his fathers on going business. In 1968 Fred along with his wife Eleanor and their son Wayne F Stobbart, who had been working in the family business since the age of 15, became members of the FTD Network. Making Stobbart's Nurseries a full service nursery, landscape, garden and FTD floral center. In 1985 Wayne took control of the family business. In the late 1990's Wayne purchased an old family business called Franklin Florist. Franklin Florist had many owners since its opening in the early 1900's. However the man who 1st opened it's doors was Wayne's great grandfather John W Stobbart. The family way continues today. In 2009 Wayne's son Eric Stobbart open Stobbart's Flowers in Mansfield, MA, and that is currently being run by Wayne's daughter Lindsey Stobbart.
